Job description
The Manufacturing Engineer is a key contributor to the development and improvement of processes that produce, calibrate, and test circuits and instruments in a complex, low-volume manufacturing environment. Tektronix will depend on their expertise to develop reliable solutions that meet aggressive development and production schedules. The successful candidate will work closely with peers, production assemblers & technicians, test engineers, design teams, and management to develop processes that meet the business needs. The work involves driving quality improvement efforts, managing prototype builds, developing work instructions, and solving a variety of problems across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities Include:
Driving and managing projects to continuously improve product quality.

Investigating, determining root cause, and putting corrective action in place for quality issues.

Leading cross functional teams to quickly address line down and other major quality issues.

Managing the impact of product changes on the production process.

Maintaining accurate and effective process documentation.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or other engineering discipline.
At least 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering role in an electronics-related industry.
Experience in low-volume, high-mix manufacturing preferred.
Experience implementing lean manufacturing.
Strong data analysis skills.
Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally and across different levels in an organization.
A continuous improvement mindset and strong bias toward action.
