Summary

Reporting to the Quality & Productivity Manager, the Process Engineer’s responsibilities include:

· Provide leadership of planning and execution for productivity and quality initiatives/programs.

· Partner with functional leaders and Strategic Account Managers to lead implementation processes for new clients; Develop and refine processes, SOPs, and time studies to accurately define labor costs associated with unique or specific requirements as defined by Client’s Scope of Work.

· Perform audits of initial inbound receipts and initial order processing to ensure alignment of defined SOPs and retail routing guides. Perform 5, 10, 30, 60 and 90-day Client SOP audits

· Perform daily and weekly functional process audits to ensure alignment to SOPs

· Actively look to optimize capacity and SKU placement while balancing Pick Mod density.

· Develop specific project plans, determining resource needs, evaluating operational requirements, setting priorities, developing and implementing operational best practices.

· Develop and publish local performance reports

· Collaborate with Distribution Center leadership to identify process improvement and cost saving initiatives

· Conduct time studies and process observations as part of continuous improvement efforts

· Work collaboratively with Site Super Users to identify and standardize best practices

· Train team members on ProTrack usage and productivity goals and assist in facilitating expanded utilization

· Perform routine audits to ensure Distribution Center mapping, asset management, and time standards are maintained

· Support management efforts of the supervisory staff through consistent and regular communication

· Promote a culture of ownership and continuous improvement by leading with lean approaches, six sigma tools, and 5S techniques to drive safety, quality and productivity.

Experience

• 2 years of experience in a Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Production/Procurement, Distribution, Logistics or related environment/operations.
• 2 years of experience using Lean Process Improvement, Six Sigma methodologies or related performance metrics/process improvements to increase efficiency within processes, forecasting, planning, optimization, and logistics.
• 1 year of cross-functional coordination experience across different business units and experience conducting qualitative/quantitative data analysis to support business decision making and cross functional initiatives.
• Bachelor Degree or relevant work experience in Engineering, Supply Chain or Operations.
