Enjoy working in a fast-paced urgent care environment in Frederick, MD! We are seeking experienced “Certified Medical Assistants to perform front and back office. Individuals must be friendly, motivated, and team players.
The UC is open 8:00 am-6:0pm, Monday to Friday, and on some Saturdays. Medical Assistant(s) will work 3-4 days a week , depending on the center's schedule. PRN opportunity, No promises of FT at this time, No Benefits at this time. Hourly rates compensate for experience and no benefits. The assignment is for 3 months possibly longer.
Responsibilities
Greet patients and assist with paperwork if needed.
Enter patient information into the EMR system
Set up and clean examination rooms after each patient visit
Direct patients to the examination rooms, make them comfortable, take vitals, and record information in the system
Injections/Vaccinations/Immunizations/Phlebotomy
Keep track of inventory/supplies
Sterilize instrument
Assist physician in the examination room with minor procedures
Perform EKG
Laboratory Testing – Alcohol/Drug, Pregnancy, COVID, Flu, Collect specimens and other lab tests
Multi-task to work front and back office (Order lab work, per-authorizations, collect co-payments
Provide oxygen and neutralizer treatments for patients when needed
Requirements:
A high school diploma is required.
Certification as a Medical Assistant
Urgent Care/ ER experience is preferred.
BLS/CPR Certification is required.
At least 2 years of experience in urgent care
