Must have experience running a Rotoflex or Mark Andy printing press- 8-10 Color

• Running and operating of print ing presses.
• In charge of the entire production of printed material from start to finish.
• Loading the press with paper, inks, varnish, or lamination.
• Reviewing job orders to make the right adjustments to the press.
• Installing parts and supplies such as ink rollers, printing plates, cutting dies.
• Testing inks on the printing surface to determine suitability
• Handling production of the printed material, including the printing and racking process to ensure it meets the specifi cations and is ready on schedule.
• Performing maintenance tasks on the printing press.
• Troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Cleaning the printing press and peripherals.

As well as the above general duties, in his position as Lead Press Operator Hector works closely with the Operations Director daily to achieve the following:

• Produce quality printed work per established production standards.
• Maintain inventory to meet project needs. Manages and ensures adequate inventory levels.
• Requisitions supplies as needed; maintains paper stock and other materials needed.
• Functions as troubleshooter for equipment maintenance.
• Cleans, adjusts, and maintains equipment in good condition.
• Trains and provides work direction to assigned personnel; assigns employee duties and reviews work for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensures high quality of printed materials.
• Maintains a record of completed projects for future reference.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Work independently with little direction.
• Observe health and safety regulations.

Physical Demands:

• Dexter ity of hand and fingers to operate printing equipment
• Standing for extended periods of time.
• Bending at the waist , kneeling, or cro uching to retrieve and store supplies.
• Seeing to read a variety of materials.
• Hear ing and speaking to exchange information.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
