Offset Printing Estimator/Job Planner - Prepares timely & accurate production estimates for various types of offset printing projects requested by clients and prospects.

Primary Duties:

• Generate custom estimates according to clients’ requirements.
• Estimate the specific job costs and timelines relative to material and direct labor cost with hours required to complete the work in our print and finishing operations.
• Examines specifications, layouts, pricing and schedules to determine the most cost effective production method.
• Communicate and negotiate with vendors on behalf of the company to obtain competitive pricing & scheduling to meet our customer's needs.
• Establish and maintain relationships with outside vendors and industry experts; maintain knowledge of current and new technologies
• Develop solutions and produce top quality results through continuous improvement
• Reviews post production tickets and compares actual vs estimated costs

Skills/Qualifications:

• Printing estimating or planning experience and/or education in graphic arts or related field
• Knowledge of production (prepress, press and bindery) in sheet fed offset and digital print environment
• Effective communication skills with customers, vendors and internal team members.
• Excellent math skills are essential with strong attention to detail
• Organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Ability to make informed and accurate decisions with project developments
• Strong computer skills, Word, Excel, Outlook, company specific software. Experience with Pace printing system a plus.
• Experience using both plastic and paper substrates preferred
• Team member with customer focus, positive attitude and dedication to succeed
