MSPCC, a division of Eliot, is seeking a Program Coordinator for KINnections, our grandparent and kinship caregiver program. A Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree preferred as well as 5 years post-graduate professional experience in human services or related field. Experience with older/aging adults, family systems and community services is necessary.

KINnections is a partnership program with AgeStrong Boston and the Commission on Grandparents Raising Grandchildren that endeavours to connect grandparent and kinship caregivers with support, services and family connectedness opportunities. Services include respite activity planning, connecting to community resources such as legal assistance, housing assistance, mental health services and other financial support programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer all aspects of the KINnections program.
  • Collaborate with other agency programs to optimally leverage resources and supports for program families.
  • Create and maintain new partnerships with community providers.
  • Plan programming and new initiatives based upon trends in Elder Issues, Healthy Aging, Child & Family Development, etc.
  • Communicate regularly with Program Monitor/AgeStrong Boston and the Commission on Grandparents Raising their Grandchildren.
  • Participate in program related grant writing and budgeting activities.
  • Complete monthly reporting requirements for funders and agency in a timely manner.
  • Supervise and support group facilitators and grandparent leaders.
  • Plan and implement innovative program marketing, training and community education strategies.
  • Participate in program quality assurance and evaluation activities.

Schedule: Part time, 20 hours p/week between 9am-5pm. Occasional night/weekend hours.

Experience

Required
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to family, cultural, ethnic and religious values and traditions.
  • 5 year(s): Post-graduate professional experience in human services or related field, family systems and community services.

Education

Required
  • Bachelors or better in Social Work or related field
Preferred
  • MA or better in Social Work or related field
