Spallinger Millwright Services (SMS) is a Structural Steel Fabrication and a Millwright Company. We specialize in custom structural steel fabrication for Schools, Hospitals, and Industrial customers. We have been in business for 30 years and are looking for a Pressure vessel Project Manager to add to our team.

Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology

• 2 - 5 years experience
• Experience with design and/or maintenance of vessels, tanks and piping.
• Experience with the design and maintenance of high temperature insulation and refractory systems.
• Working knowledge and understanding of national statutory / regulatory inspection requirements.
• Knowledge of inspection/test procedures used to assess vessels, tanks, piping, and heat exchangers.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels within the organization.
• Desirable to have ASME / API Pressure Vessel, Piping inspection and design knowledge.

• Design and perform calculations for pressure vessels to meet the requirements of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes, primarily Section I.

• Prepare and complete project drawings and/or documents.

• Research projects using a variety of tools and databases.

• Utilize 3D modeling software and 2D CAD tools for drawing creation.

• Solve complex problems through research and interpretation of ASME Codes

• Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of assigned engineering work.

• Work with discipline lead on major and/or complex projects, including new development technology projects.

• Work cooperatively with other departments including Scheduling, Proposal and Project Management, Project Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, QA and the Field.

• This support may require occasional travel to a site or to a customer meeting
