Job description

Operates various types of progressive presses and sets up dies used in the production of Automobile Seat Frames. Additional roles and responsibilities are established in the responsibility sections of the EMS Documentation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate Progressive Press, Set up dies used in Progressive Press.

Load and unload coils of steel that are used in the process.

Must complete and maintain Division Forklift training course requirements.

Must complete and maintain division Crane Operators training course requirements.

Assist Tool & Die in doing minor repairs on tools when needed.

Maintain and keep up-to-date all set-up sheets for dies.

Maintain and keep up-to-date all SPC data used for the purpose of maintaining a high degree of quality set by the Quality Assurance Department.

Record all production data needed for inventory control purposes, including good parts, scrap parts, and any other data necessary.

Maintain and perform minor repairs on cradle, feeder and assigned Progressive Press.

Maintain a clean and safe working area.

Must maintain and use safety blocks when entering a die.

Must practice proper lock-out/tag-out procedure.

Operate other presses or assist in setting dies in other presses when asked.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Assist in all duties of the QDC team as directed.

Mounts, aligns and secures dies, makes adjustments as needed.

Inspect work pieces for defects, and measure work pieces to determine accuracy of machine operation using rules, templates or other measuring instruments.

Observe machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunctions.

Removes dies from machines when production runs are finished, inspect last piece and first piece with the assistance of tool and die to suggest any adjustments or repairs required.

Cycles the press for good parts, perform first piece requirement, and removes parts when done.

Checks parts for proper tolerances, surface blemishes, cracks, splits, etc.. and makes adjustments as required.

Works with a sense of urgency to meet production requirements

Any duty requested by your supervisor.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship

Pay: $18.50 - $24.50 per hour
