We at CRMHS recognize the value our treatment team brings to the agency. Corsica River Mental Health Services is looking for a prescriber to provide culturally competent mental health and/or Substance Use Disorder services to individuals and families, evaluating, diagnosing and treating clients, including prescribing medication and coordinating behavioral health care.

Prescriber ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Provide on-site and/or telehealth services at least 20 hours per week, to include psychiatric evaluations, medication management and client care coordination, including crisis intervention.
  • Perform Psychiatric Evaluations within one hour.
  • Perform Medication Management sessions within 20-30 minutes.
  • Utilize E-Prescribe for all prescriptions.
  • Complete all client documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) within 24 hours of the service.
  • Utilize CRISP and other CMS and/or Meaningful Use requirements.
  • Provide high quality, compassionate and ethical care to clients as scheduled, measured by meeting productivity targets, client surveys, and supervisory evaluation.
  • Maintain client confidentiality as required by Maryland law and HIPAA.

  • Provide psychiatric evaluations, behavioral health assessment, treatment, and medication management.
  • Coordinate behavioral health care for assigned clients.
  • Collaborate in providing services to clients in acute behavioral health crises.
  • Complete all client documentation within the specified time frames according to requirements in COMAR, Meaningful Use and the CRMHS Employee Handbook.
  • Refer clients for other needed services, as appropriate and/or identified in the assessment and review process.
  • Maintain client confidentiality as required by Maryland law and HIPAA.
  • Maintain required billable hours, with schedule responsive to client and agency needs.
  • Communicate inclusively, sharing information with other professionals working with clients, including psychiatric rehabilitation agencies as appropriate.
  • Actively participate as a positive member of the clinic environment.
  • Attend and participate in agency team and supervision meetings.
  • Comply with training requirements within the agency and maintain good standing with the appropriate board and insurance entities.
Requirements:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Prescriber must have formal training as a Medical Doctor with Psychiatry specialty or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner with Psychiatric-Mental Health specialty, licensed under Health Occupations Article, Annotated Code of Maryland, able to practice legally in Maryland. Professional Liability Insurance required.

Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus and will offer pay differential for this proficiency.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to meet credentialing and privileging requirements as identified in the CRMHS Employee Handbook.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with professional and non-professional colleagues effectively and to provide clinical supervision to mental health and substance use disorder professionals in a teamwork environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with crisis intervention, best practices in symptom management and current medications.
  • Personal stability, flexibility and commitment to working with individuals recovering from behavioral health issues.
  • Skill in applying varied interventions with individuals and families of various cultures.
  • Ability to work independently and implement time management strategies.
  • Interpersonal skills sufficient to establish productive working relationships.
  • Computer skills sufficient to enter the required data and documentation.
  • Pass the agency’s background check.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record to support insurability by the agency’s insurance carrier.
  • Work related use of a vehicle carrying minimum of 100/300/50 liability insurance.
