Under the direction of the Chief Program Officer, the Preschool Site Director ensures the integrity of educational systems and instructional programs across the school environment. The Preschool Site Director will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of evidence based (applied behavior analysis) educational systems, and instructional programs within the school environment. The Preschool Site Director oversees the overall program planning process, ensuring quality services for all students. The Preschool Site Director provides supervision to classroom teachers, teacher aides and oversight for implementation of related services/all IEP mandates. The Preschool Site Director maintains open communication with all team members, family members and relevant community stakeholders. The Preschool Site Director engages in program development, planning and implementation as part of the interdisciplinary model intercampus team. The Preschool Site Director assumes program authority and oversight of the operations of the Anderson Early Learning Academy at Latham.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversees the delivery of educational programs and services.
• Provides administrative guidance and supervision to Teachers/Teaching Assistants and Teacher Aides.
• Oversees professional development and mandated training requirements for all education personnel.
• Works with colleagues and supervisors in creating, developing, maintaining, and assessing program initiatives.
• Oversees staffing assignments and maintains positions within the prescribed parameters.
• Oversees the school building to ensure a safe and healthy learning and working environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• NYS Certification in SWD B-2 or equivalent.
• NYS Certification as SDA/SAS/SBL or equivalent. Sufficient knowledge and experience to satisfactorily perform the responsibilities of the position.
• Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis required, BCBA preferred. If not certified, program enrollment will be required within 2 years of hire.
• Must maintain qualifications in the crisis intervention procedure of the agency.
• Must be capable at all times of initiating or assisting in all components of the crisis intervention of the agency.
• Must be capable at all times of assisting occupants in the orderly evacuation of the facility, by both primary and secondary paths in the event of fire or other emergency.
