About the Job
The Mission YMCA Preschool is seeking an experienced early childhood educator to serve as the Site Coordinator for the preschool consisting of 3 classrooms; Koala Room: 2 - 3 years, Monkey Room: 3.5 - 4 years, and the Butterfly Room: 3.9 - 5 years.
The Preschool Coordinator is responsible for the overall administration of the Mission Y preschool, including supervision of the preschool staff. The Preschool Site Coordinator maintains the program quality and facility to meet all licensing requirements as outlined by the state of California. The Preschool Preschool Coordinator must maintain positive relationships with the children and their families, as well as ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children enrolled in the program. The Preschool Coordinator is expected to step into the classroom as a teacher and lead programming as needed, for up to 50% of their time or more.

Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 21 years old
- Must be available Monday – Friday during program hours
- Must be qualified for Site Supervisor permit, or working toward permit qualification
- AA or BA degree in ECE or Child Development
- Related experience: 350+ days of 3+ hours per day within 4 years in a child care site
- Experience developing ECE curriculum
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- Experience with MS Word and Excel
- YMCA approved CPR/First Aid certification (can complete upon hiring)
- Provide TB clearance prior to hire and every 2 years thereafter
- Proof of COVID Vaccination required
- Submit Physical Health Clearance prior to hire and every 2 years thereafter, including proof of Immunizations for Influenza, Pertussis, and Measles
- Fingerprint background check clearance through Community Care Licensing
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading a team of staff
- Knowledge of NAEYC, PITC, Anti-Bias Curriculum, Emergent Curriculum and Reggio Emilia
- Bilingual skills in Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese

Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour
