Job description
The Paddle Pub is looking for a professional Prep cook to prep food to the exact chef’s specifications for menu. Prep cook duties will consist of assisting the chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals. We are a lake themed pub featuring fresh cooked to order classic pub fare with a gourmet twist. . Candidates will need to complete a 2 hour working interview.
Some tasks include: Making multiple sauces, preparing, shredding, slicing and weighting out portions of meats, slicing and dicing tomatoes, peppers onions etc helping with put away orders, as well as many other projects

Responsibilities
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Answer, report and follow chef’s instructions
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Skills
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line cook, restaurant cook or prep cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
