Our Preconstruction Coordinator role is someone who thrives in a fast-paced, fun, and collaborative environment. Our coordinators are responsible for ensuring the project information, schedule, budget, and details of tasks are well organized and well communicated. They will work with various departments to keep the team updated on project status and development. They will organize reporting, plan meetings, and provided updates to project managers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinate internal Preconstruction kickoff meetings.
  • Participate in project design coordination meeting and keep meeting minutes.
  • Maintain project stakeholder and contact information.
  • Assist in managing and communicating the Preconstruction schedule.
  • Track design drawings/ specifications throughout Preconstruction.
  • Monitor permit reviews and status.
  • Assist Estimating, VDC, Safety, and Equipment departments with project planning.
  • Motivate constructability collaboration within the project team at each design phase to minimize RFI’s and Change Orders in Construction.
  • Coordinate IT department project setup.
  • Coordinate Construction kickoff and team on-boarding.
  • Cultivate relationships and outreach efforts with BC team, clients, architects/ engineers, and trade partners/ vendors.
  • Coordinate and assemble all Preconstruction deliverables consistent with BC Process.
  • Provide reporting data on current projects to Management and Operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or any applicable degree program.
  • Entry to 3-years of Construction or Design experience.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and communication/ writing skills.
  • Understanding of project lifecycle: pursuits/ proposals, contracting, preconstruction, construction operations & management, warranty, etc.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Scheduling software, VDC software.
  • Valid Texas drivers’ license and meet company’s auto insurability requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
