PPAP QUALITY ENGINEER
LEAR TUSCALOOSA - MCCALLA PLANT


As a member of the Program Management - PPAP team, the PPAP Quality Engineer will be responsible for owning the PPAP process at the Lear McCalla plant.


The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Executing PPAP Process for components and assemblies on the given time frame and milestones
  • Coordination and steering of supplier PPAP submissions in terms of documentation and hardware
  • Ensuring the quality of submitted documentation by reviewing and analyzing it in detail
  • Strong communication to Customer Quality responsible to align requirements and milestones
  • Upload PPAP submissions in customer systems
  • Internal and external reporting of status and KPI’s

Your Qualifications:

  • Experience with submitting PPAP's within an OEM's internal system
  • 2 – 5 years’ experience in automotive industry
  • Knowledge of auditing processes like VDA6.3 / AIAG
  • Structured problem-solving mindset
  • Analytical and data driven
  • Ability to simplify complex problems and proactively problem solve and escalate where necessary

Bonus If You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Experience submitting PPAPs within PIA
  • Language skills in Spanish, German
  • Color evaluation experience
  • Detailed knowledge of testing requirements and evaluation
