POSITION SUMMARY

Job Title: Powder Coating Lead – Hourly

Reports To: Powder Coating Supervisor

GENERAL SUMMARY

Manages the performance of the powder coating booth and the personnel running the booth to insure the production of quality parts in a safe manner and on time delivery.

EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING REQUIRED OR PREFERRED

• Must have some knowledge of the powder coating process.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Mush have good people skills.
• Basic reading, writing, math and excellent communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer

ESSENTAIL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Identify powder needed for each job based on the production schedule and prepare the booth according to what parts are to be scheduled for each day.
• Make sure that the automatic guns are set on the proper settings to assure the parts are being covered properly through the booth.
• Work with manual painters if there are areas of the parts that will have to be manually sprayed in the process to assure proper coverage.
• Maintain the booth quality throughout each run to make sure parts are continually checked coming out of the paint booth to insure 1st quality parts.
• Check mils of the powder coating on parts coming out of the cure oven to assure proper thickness of the coating. If there is an issue adjustments to the booth settings should be made at this time.
• Perform color changes in a timely manner assuring all items on the booth and process are free of contamination to assure 1st quality parts.
• Complete all quality forms for each run checking parts throughout the process to assure 1st quality parts.
• Ability to use SAP system to accurately report start/stop times and production for each job performed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
