  About This Opportunity

We currently have an opening for a Portfolio Analyst on the 7 Ventures Team. Ideal candidate has experience in the following: Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple business units including merchandising, digital, logistics, operations, and marketing. Ability to define and develop playbook for new pilots and manage multiple work-streams. Familiar with 7-Eleven systems, field, and store operations. Has strong analytics background, interpersonal skills, ability to foster strong relationships (both internal and external), and ability to influence.

• Manage 7-Ventures portfolio companies: participate/coordinate weekly, monthly, and quarterly business review calls with portfolio companies; leverage and share data/insight (7-Eleven tools) to support companies to grow their business.
• Has a strong understanding of the different operating models. 7-Eleven Franchised stores, 7-Eleven corporate stores, and 7-Eleven acquisition stores; understands the distinct set-up, systems, and logistics requirements for each.
• Spearhead new product launches for portfolio companies in 7-Eleven stores and 7Now with a 360 physical and digital launch plan: Partner with key stakeholders (internally and externally) and follow structured playbook process to launch products at a regional/national level; support iterating and improving playbook based on lessons learned.
• Create and conduct Power BI and Excel reporting and verification of portfolio companies’ sales for tests, regional and national launches.
• Analyze/interpret data to build sales growth plans by working with FSL/ZM/MMs/FCs on a regular basis to help increase take rates, sales and velocities.
• Serve as an internal advocate that accelerates portfolio companies in 7-Eleven stores and creates buy-in across the 7-Eleven store support center, Franchisee-based and corporate operations, unlocking assistance, value and synergies where applicable.
• Assist in forging relationships and ongoing communication with key external partners (i.e. Experiential marketing firms, digital agencies, independent distributors, etc.)
• Develop omnichannel, innovation, digital and retail landscape evolution knowledge and apply research and new trends to 7-Eleven pilots/initiatives to incorporate 7-Ventures portfolio companies.
• Flexible and willing to support team in ad-hoc projects and complete requested activities on-time and independently once tasks are discussed and aligned upon.

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Relevant External Experience: 3-5+ years experience as a business or merchandising analyst. Retail or CPG experience a plus, experience Identifying sales opportunities and launching pilots.
• Relevant 7-Eleven Experience: 3-5+ years; Field Consultant/Area Manager, Category Support Supervisor, Associate Category Manager, Marketing, Digital.
• Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Suite – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
• Must also be familiar with Power BI, and syndicated data such as IRI, Nielson and Spins.
