Summary:

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of assigned areas to ensure a clean, comfortable, safe and attractive environment for our guests.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Maintain the highest standards to ensure the quality and cleanliness in the casino and other required areas as assigned by the Supervisor
• Assume the responsibility of keeping your assigned area maintained in accordance with policies and procedures
• Comply with all established job standards and work requirements
• Clean in between slot machines, removing paper, placing any glasses on the end of the slot bank, and discarding all empty bottles
• Empty ashtrays into your pan (ensuring there are not any hot ashes); clean out built-in ashtrays and remove items from sand urns; wipe ashtrays clean with a wet towel
• Sweep paper up off of floor into your pan, edging machines and/or stairs
• While panning your area, check for spots and gum and remove them according to procedure
• At the end of your shift check the porter closets in your area, straighten them up, and remove boxes, towels, trash, etc.
• Properly use and operate tools and equipment as trained
• Continually observe your area and report any conditions that may not be up to company standards to the Lead Porter
• Perform Housekeeper duties as needed
• Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous public area or housekeeping cleaning experience preferred
• Previous experience working in a team or group environment
• Able to interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner
• Able to work with cleaning products, chemicals and solvents using safety equipment provided by the company
• Ability to functionally communicate occupational-based English, both written and verbal
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
• Verify right to work in the United States
