Delaware River Stevedores, Inc. is hiring a Port Terminal Manager at the Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point (MOTSU) in Southport, NC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for planning, administering and reviewing the operations on a port terminal in order to optimize resource use, minimize costs and maintain quality standards.
• Plan, implement and oversee the work of employees to ensure efficiency and compliance with organizational requirements and company procedures.
• Maintain good working relationships with labor and union officials and ensure that labor policies and contracts are adhered to.
• Conduct ongoing safety audits, attend company safety meetings and participate or direct other work activities designed to promote work safety.
• Ensure employees fully and consistently comply with safety rules, administrative procedures and policies, environmental policies, union contracts and government regulations.
• Initiate and direct investigations to resolve shipper or customer complaints and verify their authenticity and accuracy.
• Collaborate with fellow terminal managers to create, modify and implement goals, procedures, policies and objectives when the opportunity presents itself.
• Oversee terminal budget.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 10+ years of terminal operations experience
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Effective organizational and multitasking skills
• Bachelor's degree is preferred
• Must possess or have the ability to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
• Obtain a base ID which requires a National Crime Information Center (NCIC) background check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
