Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
  • Acts as the PM Shift Manager on duty, and support Front Office leadership during shift
  • Promptly resolves any guest complaints or issues and communicate out to the team
  • Coordinate daily activities of all departments in order to facilitate increased levels of service, communication and overall guest satisfaction
  • Anticipate the guests’ needs, ability to change direction quickly and multi-task daily
  • Uphold the highest standards of service, conduct and cleanliness
  • Ensures proper communication and follow-up daily within the department, up-to senior leadership on all guest and associate related matters
  • Ensure Front Office team is activating programs daily to enhance and drive service scores
  • Ensure Front Office team members are properly trained on all Marriott programs and initiatives within 7 days of employment and regularly complete audits of staff to ensure department remains current on standards, new programming and brand happenings
  • Work with Leadership to ensure continual training and audits are happening for all Front Office team members in order to improve service and satisfaction
  • Update Front Office boards weekly to properly track programming and department progress
  • Reconcile all house and guest accounts weekly and present reports to Operations Manger to ensure proper closure of accounts is happening within 14 days of departure
  • Work with Sales Manager to ensure all group arrival/departures are executed seamlessly
  • Coordinate with Sales Manager to ensure Group / BEO binder is updated as needed
  • Work with Conference Services Manager to ensure all events are executed as planned
  • Ensure daily shift checklists are completed by all line level staff across the hotel on shift
  • Complete any/all requests daily from senior property leadership
Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous Marriott & Fossee experience a plus
  • Minimum 1-year previous experience in Hotel/Resort front office strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with computers and general office applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email, etc)
  • Possesses strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must have ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must possess solid decision-making skills and have a positive can-do attitude daily
  • Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, coworkers & leadership
  • Must have impeachable ethical standards, maintaining the confidentiality of guest, associate and vendor information
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Always projects a favorable image of the property to internal and external guests by following the property and brand grooming and dress standards
  • Strong attention and care to details, follow up and completion of all assigned work
  • Champion teamwork and collaboration throughout the department and hotel
  • Must have reliable transportation
