About the Role

The PLM Business Analyst will work as part of a cross-functional team, supporting our robust Product Lifecycle Management system, providing support to users, maintenance, new development, and problem-solving, ensuring data integrity. It is a high-visibility assignment covering multiple processes across our product creation teams and downstream systems. You will work closely with the teams to research, analyze, design, recommend and develop appropriate business and technology strategies and solutions. This position is business- centric, and the analyst will act as a liaison between business leaders and technical teams.

  • Utilizing “best practices” in order to analyze and support the detail design and execution of production processes necessary to configure Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) to meet business requirements for Product Development and Engineering processes.
  • Responsible for creating and delivering content and maintaining content to support deployment and adoption of solutions such as training, work instructions, and job-aids.
  • Translating user requirements to ensure processes can be properly integrated into the supporting system.
  • Influencing continuous improvement initiatives by using system and business process knowledge to support business operations
  • Supporting the PLM Product Owner by translating end-user requests into well-written user stories to be executed by the PLM delivery team.
  • Testing the design of a solution to validate that it meets the acceptance criteria
  • Maintaining and administering the Centric PLM system, including user setup, training, and system upgrades
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting system issues, working with vendors to resolve any technical issues
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements in the apparel industry
  • Ensuring data integrity by performing regular audits and maintaining documentation
  • Developing and maintaining training materials and provide PLM system training to new and existing users
  • Providing support to users, including troubleshooting and answering questions
  • Under general direction, creates and executes test plans for software modifications and facilitates transfer into production
  • Writes software documentation suitable for internal systems control and user manuals
  • Conferring with customers and team members to determine requirements; contributes to design of business application systems that address and solve corporate business needs
  • Estimates system configuration and development efforts for self
  • Functions as a task owner on projects; coordinates with others, schedules and communicates work progress and is responsible for delivery of assigned scope of work
  • Managing internal and external change requests and incident tickets through Jira
  • Analyzing root cause of technology issues, developing and documenting solutions
  • Supporting development process by gathering technology requirements and testing new system functionality
  • Managing relevant projects by collecting requirements, scheduling meetings with key stakeholders, note-taking, tracking deliverables, and providing status updates to cross- functional teams
  • Creating, maintaining, and publishing technical documentation for systems and processes
  • Conducting administrative system tasks such as regular checks to maintain data integrity, including duplicate records, out of range data entries, and reviewing change log data to resolve accidental edits. Maintains in and outbound data flows

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, business administration; quality or related field is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in a product development setting, having direct involvement in Bill of Material development and management
  • Hands on experience using a Product Lifecycle Management software is required, Centric PLM experience is preferred
  • Candidate must have excellent oral & written communication skills and the ability to effectively deliver messages using a variety of mediums
  • Candidate should drive clarity where there is ambiguity
  • Working knowledge of the Agile framework, and its practices, such as creating user stories, sprint planning, scrum, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in the apparel and/or footwear industry is a plus
  • Prior experience working with a PIM, PLM, and/or DAM system is preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tool Suite
  • Ability to leverage data transformation functions to cleanse and transform data to meet end point requirements
  • Advanced attention to detail
  • Ability to proactively identify issues, calculate risk, and either resolve or escalate to the appropriate level of visibility.
  • Ability to operate independently or as part of a team and complete agreed-upon deliverables within established timeframes
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Minimum 2 years of Centric PLM experience is desirable.
  • Box, Zoom, Smartsheet, and Jira experience is desirable.
  • Demonstrated prior success developing solid business stakeholder relationships and credibility quickly through strong follow-up/follow through skills.
  • Candidate must be highly technical-minded and have the ability to effectively use many forms of technology and software to achieve results.
  • Demonstrate leadership/ownership of assigned functional area.
  • The ability to lead through influence and persuasion.
  • Strong process and principle-based problem-solving capabilities
  • Project management and/or project implementation experience

The hourly range for this position is $45 - $50 per hour.

The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations. Ariat in good faith believes that this posted compensation range is accurate for this role at this location at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
