Plant Supervisor - EBS

What is the Role:
The Plant Supervisor is responsible for all activities on the shop floor. This position is directly responsible for safety, quality, delivery, and costs associated with the manufacture of our products.
Who you are:
In this role you will
· Distribute the appropriate paperwork and/or parts to shop associates for the manufacture of our products.
· Disseminate information to shop associates regarding company vision, goals, activities, and updates.
· Be responsible for correcting any discrepancies on drawings, information, and parts shortages with the appropriate party.
· Coach and mentor shop employees through one-on-one meetings.
o New employee orientation and training
o Perform yearly reviews.
o Make sure they are following all company policies
o If required, initiate corrective action
· Be a team builder and motivator capable of bringing out the best in each employee.
· Be responsible for the safety of anyone on the shop floor.
o Safety coordinator for OSHA compliance
o Lead first aid team
o Monitor housekeeping by making sure all employees understand and complete their daily responsibilities
o If required, report and complete accident investigations
· Be the technical expert in all aspects of fabrication, welding, assembly, packing, and shipping of our products with an emphasis on quality, productivity, and on time delivery.
· Be in control of inventory.
o Receiving purchased parts, completing paperwork, identifying part, and storage
o Purchase requests for shop supplies, consumables, and raw materials
o Year-end physical inventory
· Be the finished goods shipping coordinator; working with trucking companies to safely move our product to its next destination.
· Be responsible for the preventative (PM) and active maintenance of plant equipment.
What You Bring:
· High school degree or equivalent.
· Minimum of 3 or more years in a “made-to-order” manufacturing environment with direct supervision experience.
· Ability to interpret and read engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOM).
· Experience with Microsoft Office suite and a working knowledge of MRP systems.
· Valid driver’s license.
· Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands, and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
· Needs a strong appreciation of the importance of completing tasks on time with excellent attention to detail.
· Must be able to sit, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs in a non-repetitive environment.
· Must be able to read and write in fluent English
What Else Would Be Helpful:
· Associate degree in business management or engineering.
· Familiarity with electro-mechanical systems, 24 VDC control systems, and pneumatic components
· Background in bakery equipment manufacturing
· Conveyor and conveyor system manufacturing experience
