The Plant Manager will manage the day-to-day operations of the Plant in a manner that provides the utmost in employee safety, product quality, and adherence to cost controls & budgets. The Plant Manger establishes and supports an organization capable of producing results consistent with performance criteria and plans at company level. Responsibilities may include production, maintenance, quality, shipping/receiving, health, safety, and environmental and other related operations. Leads the workforce in continuous improvement activities, both systems and processes, and benchmarks appropriate standards of conduct throughout the operation. Keeps employees informed of key issues, supports quality, consistency and integrity in all transactions. Handles special projects, as assigned.

Essential Functions

  • Promote and enforces compliance with safety, environmental and quality requirements.
  • Promote and implement HSE continuous improvement programs within the plant.
  • Leads the development and implementation of the plant emergency response plan.
  • Provide Leadership by ensuring operations compliance in the use of processes, procedures, and in the execution of pre-determined business plans.
  • Consistently identify areas for improvement in safety, quality, cost, customer service and employee relations in operations.
  • Develop and manage a team capable of carrying out the operations of the Plant. This includes a vigorous cross training program at all levels.
  • Responsible for the financial performance of the manufacturing site as represented on the financial reports.
  • Successfully monitor and adhere to operational budget as well as assist in the budget setting process.
  • Consistently conduct problem/solution analysis at the functional level to increase profitability and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Consistently achieve pre-determined goals and objectives set for the Plant by the Director of Manufacturing.
  • Consistently manage and ensure the maintenance of all capital equipment.
  • Consistently facilitate successful communication and effective information dissemination between Manufacturing and NMIS support departments such as HR, Accounting, R&D, etc.
  • Proactively maintain a work environment for employees that is free from harassment and discrimination.
  • Empowers subordinates by way of training, information sharing, coaching, feedback, appraisals, and delegation to ensure development of people and organizational capabilities. Additionally, is responsible for developing and executing the succession plan.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
  • 10 years of relevant work experience, AND 10 years' experience in Manufacturing or Operations with 5 years management experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of all product lines within the production plant.
  • Excellent specialized knowledge of accounting and financial requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent management and leadership skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing principles, concepts, theories and practices of area of responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of regulations and experience working with OSHA, EPA, and DOT as applicable.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
