Bravo Foods Plant Manager | Bravo Foods & Bakery, LLC

Bravo Foods & Bakery is a food production facility based in Statham GA, about one hour east of Atlanta. We produce ready to cook and ready to eat products for a wide variety of customers. We ensure that every product that leaves our facility complies with all regulatory and customer requirements.

The Plant Manager serves in a critical position to ensure that all production and operations run smoothly and profitably, supporting the work of production teams and leaders are equipped to serve co-workers and customers.

Plant Manager Position Purpose & Focus:

The Plant Manager reports to the CEO of Bravo Foods & Bakery and works with the CEO to strategically manage and streamline Bravo Foods & Bakery for growth of the full corporate operation. This position is responsible for on-site management and leadership of production, operations, people, and profit centers within Bravo Foods & Bakery. This executive leader works with strong focus on strategy, productive collaboration, integrity, and intentional communication.

This position is the day-to-day leader of all manufacturing operations under the Bravo Foods & Bakery corporate umbrella.

This position plays a critical role in the stewardship, aggressive growth while guiding consistent development of Bravo’s team members in quality food production. This leader is responsible and guides all Bravo Team Members in consistently meeting production goals. The Plant Manager sets the expectations for continually rising production numbers, while maximizing profits and performance overall.

Key Responsibilities
Implementation of Bravo Foods & Bakery (BFF) VISION
The Plant Manager actively develops, in collaboration with the CEO, the strategic operations that build on the mission, goals, and objectives of BFF and the development of processes for exponential growth within the industry.

LEADERSHIP
The Plant Manager is the primary source of leadership for teams, providing administrative and inventory expertise, collaborative support, and strategic guidance for the leadership team, and upward communication with the CEO.

Overarching Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations in the production area, developing efficient and effective production schedules that meet customer demand, while ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, policies, and regulations.
  • Build and lead high-performing teams, providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to team members, while fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and innovations that drive costs down while increasing product quality.

Bravo Foods - Plant Manager

  • Effectively oversee the management of product quality, inventory levels, and production costs by leveraging sound financial management and consistent people performance.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to achieve targets of business goals and continuously improve process.
  • Analyze data to set and monitor KPI standards that translate results into higher employee engagement and consistent financial returns.

Management

  • Develop and implement a proactive approach to organize and maintain efficiencies of Bravo Foods & Bakery for most efficient operations
  • Maintain proactive communication and planning systems for all functional areas
  • Oversee team and leadership needs and guide scheduling accordingly
  • Anticipate, when possible, resolutions before issues arise by proactive communication and leadership
  • Communicate well with associated team leaders of Bravo Foods & Bakery
  • Design, create and maintain consistent systems for food production
  • Disseminate and communicate changes to production and administrative teams weekly
  • Manage all systems efficiently and strategically identify gaps and human resources needs
  • Consistently manage most cost-effective decisions and act attentively to shifts in supply and demand
  • Implement continuously improved processes and collaboration

Team Management & Communication
Meet weekly with the CEO to clarify, define & plan weekly/monthly/annual goals

  • Meet weekly with the Leadership Team to clarify, define & communicate weekly/monthly/annual goals
  • Lead and engage active participation in company meetings bringing critical information to the meetings or in advance
  • Create, manage & track weekly schedules for production operations and its members
  • Collaborate to manage team dynamics and ensure timely communication

Responsible for leadership hiring and work-related decisions

  • Clarify processes with the leadership team and communicate them with other Bravo Teams, as needed
  • When necessary, resolve disputes or conflicts proactively and directly, working closely with Bravo Foods &

Bakery Human Resources, documenting critical steps

Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
n PROVEN. EXPERIENCE - Experience in large national Fortune 500 food production company, a plus
n VISIONARY – Proven track record in innovatively growing a company and following Executive Leaders’ vision
n ORGANIZATION – Ability to design and implement organizational systems, both physical well as within the

organization to keep schedules on track, eliminating waste and wasted hours whenever possible
n MANAGEMENT – Demonstrated strong and effective management skills developing a virtual and dynamic

team environment while maintaining vigorous production schedules
n OPERATIONS EXPERIENCE - Proven operational to a multi-faceted, complex organization to make the basics

work and streamline the difficult
n FORWARD-THINKING - Demonstrated success in formulation, execution, and evaluation of internal

procedures to support Bravo vision, mission, and values – and think of solutions before the crisis

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Business Management, Food Science, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred, with mastery or equivalency of experience
  • Master's degree, preferred

Experience Requirements

  • 10 years or more in management positions in the food industry
  • Proof and qualified references on management responsibilities, including leadership and management
  • Demonstrated interest in continuous improvement and streamlining processes
  • Advanced food production management experience
  • Demonstrated analytical and metrics skills
  • Experience with managing and implementing lean manufacturing methodology adopted through continuous improvement and people engagement
  • Familiarity with food safety protocols, HACCP, SQF, GMP, environmental, and occupational policies
  • Extensive experience with managing day-to-day operations matching expectations for financials and budgets
  • Strong understanding of Logistics/Production Management
  • Excellent client/customer relations skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proven experience with excellent time management, resilience, and stress tolerance
  • Ability to establish and sustain trust-based relationships with team members, leaders & other stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in compliance, safety and food safety
  • Demonstrated innovative thinking and decision-making for elevated productivity in all areas
  • Military experience, a plus

Conditions of Employment

  • Ability to work locally in Statham, Georgia, with an occasional need to travel
  • Working hours will vary / an average of 40 - 50 hours per week
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. or more on a regular basis, easily bend, stretch arms above head and load materials
