Director of Plant Accounting

A $500M food production organization is seeking a Director of Plant Accounting to oversee 4 direct reports at plants across the country. They ideally want this person to sit in Philadelphia or Warminster, PA. Initially it will be onsite fulltime and then will allow 1 work from home day.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and help implement policies and procedures for plant accounting team for all plants.
• Assist in the development of plant operating and capital budgets annually
• Track and manage actual vs budget for all plant cost centers.
• Review and report out on budget variances at the plant cost centers and identify trends and work with plant leadership to effectively close gaps from budget.
• Create inventory items and Bill of Materials (BOMs as it relates to costing and inventory valuations.
• Supervise, analyze and close daily manufacturing orders in ERP system.
• Supervise and analyze inventory transactions including holds and rework.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies as they occur.
• Complete month-end reporting package in an accurate and timely fashion.
• Conduct operational cost audits.
• Coordinate month end, quarterly, and year end closings.
• Assists in cycle and annual year-end physical inventory counts.
• Track and report capital projects for management review and addition to the fixed asset system.
• Supervise audits of plant activities.
• Responsible for monthly inventories in the financial statements
• Oversees monthly reporting of plant processing, packaging and compares to standards.
• Prepares budgets for all plants.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay
