Job Summary:*
The Planning Manager owns the forecasting, planning and S&OP process for the company, and for both imported and locally produced items. He / She is also to intervene on the planning of the initiative launches within the framework of the I2M process (Idea-To-Market) and aims to coordinate the workflow to get ideas (new products, new formats, range extension…) to market.
This role is driven by:

  • the ability to understand other department constraints and our customer markets
  • the eagerness to build conclusions through data and facts rather than feelings
  • the capacity to communicate well to different parts of the business in order to deliver those conclusions
  • the aptitude to balance analytical skills & data interpretation with cross-functional communication & influence.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Estimate the weeky sales forecast at SKU level for a 18 months horizon:
  • Cleansing historical data to be able to properly assess historical trends,
  • Projecting baseline,
  • Adding promotional events and impacts of new products,
  • Aligning with commercial team and getting their sign-off.
  • Be proactive to understand the markets where we sold our products, challenge sales forecast with the customers and sales team to drive to business forecast accuracy.
  • Support the I2M process.
  • Convert sales forecast into projected production needs considering the current and future factories capacity and efficiencies.
  • Prepare and animate the S&OP process with the industrial and sales business units, highlight point of vigilance and propose solutions proactively.
  • Lead the implementation of the FuturMaster eco-system in the North America area.
  • Be the day to day point of contact for the foreign subsidiaries supply chain.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of 2 years of experience in a forecasting and/or planning environment preferred.
  • Prior knowledge of forecasting and planning process.
  • Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities change quickly.
  • Ability to learn the company’s manufacturing constraints.
  • Ability to learn the customers supply chain processes.
  • Excellent ability and taste for data analysis.
  • Demonstrated planning, organizing, and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Business acumen with the ability to align HR and Company strategic goals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Regular and reliable attendance required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may occasionally require hours outside of assignment.
  • Willing to work occasional on different company sites as required.

Working Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The Planning Manager is required to work in the warehouse area, the production floor, and in an office setting. While performing the duties of this job, the associate frequently will be required to sit and stand, as well as being exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat and/or cold. The associate continuously works near moving mechanical parts. The associate will be exposed to loud noises from machinery and thus will be required to wear PPE. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be high at times due to mechanical equipment noise.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be performed by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, equipment or controls; reach with hands and arms, push, pull; see, talk and /or hear. The associate frequently is required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, sit, crouch, or crawl. The associate is occasionally required to taste, touch or smell.
The associates must frequently travel up and down stairs and other uneven work surfaces. Associates must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull, and balance up to 75 pounds.
