Job Description Summary

The Assistant Planner key responsibilities include maintaining system settings as defined by the Planner II to ensure inventory levels are adequate to support customer demand and minimize E&O. Reviewing and approving planning messages. Support multi-site kitting operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain min / max levels on parts and kits to support the business needs.
• Update inventory levels in systems to support customer/business needs while mitigating the risk of excess and obsolete inventory.
• Work with the Planner II to update supplier capabilities and opportunities to understand and reduce lead times.
• Support the kitting (manufacturing) operation at Brooklyn Park, MN, Monmouth, IL, and international locations from a planning standpoint to ensure the operation is able to optimize the manufacture of kits based on customer demand, available component inventory, and manufacturing capacity.
• Work closely with the Kitting Team to support backlog and production plans at all manufacturing locations.
• Support the department on new product rollouts and item changes.
• Approve and process planning messages for purchase order creation.

Required Qualifications, Skills/Competencies

• Associate degree or High School Diploma with applicable work experience preferred.
• Ability to use internal reporting and data to identify potential gaps and escalate as needed.
• Firm grasp of supply chain management practices, bills of material, knowledge of material control.
• Knowledge of part and distribution business.
• Problem-solving expertise with an emphasis in Excel.
• Experience with an ERP system.
• Customer focused.
• Self-motivated and works independently with limited supervision.

· Follow established policies and procedures as outlined in Marmon Foodservice Technologies’ Quality Manual and associated documents.

· Participate in quality assurance and business improvement activities, including training and improvement projects as defined by the organization.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a warehouse/office environment. Hours of work will generally be during the hours of 8am to 5pm with at least 40 hours a week but may vary according to special projects, deadlines, or other concerns. Training on safety and best practices will be provided.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
