About the Position:

The Pipefitter Foremen supervises and oversees teams of workers who fabricate and assemble piping systems, and install water, gas, and sewer systems. They ensure that their team is working safely and efficiently to complete projects on time and within budget.


Willis Mechanical wants an experienced team leader who is proactive and possesses technical skills, clear communication, accuracy, leadership, good math skills, eye-hand coordination, and the ability to work at heights.


Responsibilities:

  • Illustrate in-depth knowledge of pipe fitting processes
  • Review and approve plans and specifications for new projects to ensure they meet safety standards and industry requirements
  • Coordinate with team members such as electricians, plumbers, and welders to ensure their work is completed in a safe and timely manner
  • Ensure that all pipe installation jobs are completed on time and within budget
  • Inspect project sites to ensure that site preparation meets industry standards and building codes
  • Supervise co-workers, including identifying and addressing employee needs
  • Communicate with clients to discuss installation needs and scheduling projects
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and materials used on projects to ensure they are available when needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Must have High School Diploma, but Associates Degree or higher preferred
  • Must have Five+ years of experience as a pipefitter
  • Must have strong leadership, written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have ability to use a computer and mobile apps
  • Must have high-level of problem-solving abilities
  • Must have clean Motor Vehicle Record

Job Schedule:

  • Full-time, Monday-Friday, based on 40-hour work week
  • Overtime may be needed, flexibility is necessary
