For more than 35 years, we’ve developed programs to meet the diverse needs of clients with moderate to severe traumatic and acquired brain injuries.We provide treatment for post-concussion syndrome, stroke, memory loss, neurobehavioral issues and accident or sports-related head injuries. Our CARF accredited, post-acute residential programs are offered in the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh regions of Pennsylvania, Escondido and Gilroy regions of California, as well as in New Jersey, Louisiana, Maryland, Colorado, North Carolina, Georgia, and Utah.

Responsibilities:
We are searching for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for our Roswell, GA location. The therapist will provide group and individual physical therapy services to clients in collaboration with an interdisciplinary treatment team to include psychology, physical, speech and occupational therapies. This position also trains staff in any necessary techniques or procedures regarding client mobility and pedestrian safety status.

Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Plans, coordinates, and implements Physical Therapy treatment as assigned by the Physical Therapist
  • Assists Physical Therapist with assessments within scope of practice. Utilizes tools and techniques in accordance with currently accepted clinical procedures
  • Provides treatment to each assigned client in accordance with currently accepted clinical procedures
  • Completes all required documentation in a concise accurate and timely manner
  • Maintains open communication with client, family and treatment team members to provide a trans-disciplinary approach to client care.
  • Demonstrates ability and willingness to learn new procedures and develops new skills.
  • Maintains a professional and ethical code of behavior
  • Provides education and training for staff as needed.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

Associates Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program. Must have current license as a PTA in the state of Georgia. Prefer knowledge and experience in neurodevelopment techniques, cognitive impairments and Behavior Therapy.
