Mid-State Petroleum Equipment, Inc. (MSPE) is a privately held, full-service petroleum equipment contractor, headquartered in Hallsville, MO. MSPE provides construction services for retail fueling stations, commercial fleet fueling terminals and general-aviation and self-service fueling facilities throughout Missouri.

MSPE has an immediate opening for a Petroleum Service Technician. In this position, you will work individually or as part of a team to install and start up Tanks, Piping, Electrical and Mechanical Systems that operate fueling facilities. Some specific duties include: installation/programming of POS equipment, installation/programming of tank gauge equipment, programming and maintenance of fuel dispensers.

Requirements:

• CLEAN AND VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE - NO EXCEPTIONS
• Must be drug free
• Physically fit, able to climb ladders, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, be in confined spaces and lift 75 lbs
• Polite and articulate with strong customer service skills and neat, clean, and professional demeanor

• High school or GED level education or higher

Ideal Candidate will be/have:

• Able to follow direction and learn specific processes
• Possess strong technical and mechanical aptitude
• Familiarity with computer operations
• Understanding of basic construction tools and processes
• Strong safety record
• Excellent communication skills; verbal & written
• Ability to think critically and problem solve; multitask in fast-paced environment
• Electrical experience/knowledge a plus
• Ability to work out of town and overnights as needed and in all weather conditions
• Self-motivated, mature and responsible - able to work as a team member or independently.
• A positive team player; opposed to complaining, gossiping, and negativity
