Professional Pet Sitter- Pittsburgh East End

Part Time/ Casual- this position can be less than 10 hours per week, up to 20 hours per week

Shifts are usually short (typically 2-4 hours) on weekdays. May be longer on the weekends, depending on your availability and desired volume of work. We have work available in the morning/ evening/ and on weekends.

We can work with a wide variety of availability as long as your availability generally stays the same from week to week.

Merry Puppins is an award winning animal care provider servicing Pittsburgh's East End (Highland Park, Morningside, Lawrenceville, Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, Regent Square, Aspinwall, O'Hara, and surrounding areas). We are currently looking for someone who:

• Is available to care for dogs, cats and other small animals.
• ls comfortable travelling to clients' homes to care for animals- people are usually at work or out of town when we come.
• Can competently care for the animals at the client's home- including changing water, cleaning litter boxes, giving treats, cleaning messes, sometimes feeding meals, bringing in packages, cuddles, playtime, etc.

Job Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and registered/insured reliable transportation.
• Live in or near our service area, Pittsburgh's East End, or be able to commute to this area. Because this position is casual/ part time, the shifts tend to be shorter and it may not be worth traveling into the area if you don't live nearby.
• Pass a background check.
• Because we invest heavily in our team members, we are looking for people who can commit to this position for at least one year from time of hire.
• Must have smartphone with internet and camera to access our apps, along with the data needed to function.
• Must be comfortable around dogs and cats of all sizes.
• Be able to follow detailed instructions so that we can provide the very best animal care.
• Must successfully complete training and be able to work independently.
• Must be available to work on some holidays- we are open for business 365 days per year. Get paid extra for holiday work!

Work Location: Multiple locations

*If you have professional experience working with animals in a shelter/ kennel/ veterinarian office (or similar), we are offering a $100 sign on bonus! To qualify, you must be comfortable with and capable of administering medication to animals. Bonus is paid $50 at 60 & 90 days.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
