PET/CT COORDINATOR (FT; 40hrs/wk) - Temple Health/Fox Chase Cancer Center

Coordinate multiple functions within the PET service, with a focus on accurately and efficiently scheduling patients, to maintain a full PET Scan schedule. Obtain PET scan orders and all necessary medical justification information, records and insurance clearance prior to scheduling patients, in accordance with guidelines established by the PET Physician. Contact patients to coordinate scheduling and instruct patients in accordance with PET Physician's orders. Further support PET Physician, technologists and nursing staff, as requested, within the PET service.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Associates Degree: in coding (Preferred)

Experience
3 Years experience in billing and medical coding in a hospital setting (Required)
General Experience in ICD-9 and CPT coding (Preferred)
General Experience in Medicare guidelines (Preferred)
