Job DescriptionSALARY $28,750 Annually
(PLUS COMMISSION ON PERSONAL TRAININGS)
This is a Full-Time position with excellent benefits including Health Insurance, Life Insurance and a Retirement Plan.
Under the direct supervision of the Fitness Manager, the personal trainer will monitor the weight room area and orient patrons on proper use of the various fitness equipment. The Personal trainer is also responsible for cleaning and maintenance of equipment and the training of clients. The employee will use different programs and opportunities to promote health and fitness at the BRC.
Essential job functions include but are not limited to: Greet and interact with members who come into the fitness areas. Conduct fitness equipment orientations and assist members in the proper usage of equipment. Monitor and oversee fitness areas at all times to ensure safety and welfare of patrons. Enforce the rules and regulations of the facility. Clean and disinfect all equipment and perform minor repairs/adjustments as needed. Routinely inspect equipment and report safety or maintenance concerns to fitness manager. Sell and promote fitness. Any other duties assigned by the Fitness Manager or Facility Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS: Some knowledge working toward a degree in Exercise or Sports Science or industry certifications (NSCA/ACSM, etc.) strongly preferred. Must be at least age 18. Requires CPR/AED Certification or ability to obtain. Experience and knowledge of fitness equipment and maintenance procedures preferred, but not required. City of Bartlett resident preferred, but not required. Must pass background check and physical exam including drug screen. Will work in a non-smoking work environment.
