Personal Support & Community Development Recruitment Plan

Person living in Ellicott City is seeking employees to support him in his active life and at home. The primary responsibilities of the position include supporting person in their daily life tasks, such as, grocery shopping, creating a healthy meal plan, cooking, and upkeep of living space.

Additionally, employees will also provide or assist in the set up of transportation to and from work, assisting in job and volunteer opportunity searching, and support at community events and engagements. The most sought after candidates are able to balance this person’s self direction while being proactive and taking lead in scheduling, working together, suggesting new ideas and making things happen.

Candidates with experience supporting someone to create and maintain a schedule, facilitating relationships and engagement between people, supporting money management skills, has the interest and ability to support person in their community (walks, Special Olympics, mall, partner with autism community, health club, movies, etc.) and working collaboratively as part of a team are encouraged to apply.

Training and other Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Preferred Covid and Flu vaccine
• Reliable transportation
• Clear background check
• Ability to work in environment where there are pets)

Pay and Benefits

• Starting wage is $22 per hour
• Post intro period and evaluations with potential for raises
• Paid Time Off for all employees
• Mileage reimbursement at .625 cents a mile
• Health insurance stipend - $100 per month towards personal plan premium for employees working 32 hours of more
• CPR/first Aid training reimbursed
