Job Position: Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant
Location: Nashville, TN Pay: $17.14/hr.

Hi! My name is Kevin and I'm looking to hire a caregiver to help me out and help rebalance my current team. Ideally, 7a-7p or 7p-7a shifts. Super laid back environment with plenty of downtime. Caretaker must be able to lift/carry 60 pounds. Pay is $17.14/hr. I'm 46 years old and have Spinal Muscular Atrophy. I've earned a Masters Degree in Psychology / Counseling and am a songwriter in Nashville. I'm known to be quite witty and have a great sense of humor!

Some of the job duties you would perform would be feeding me, helping reposition in my wheelchair, lifting/transferring me in and out of my wheelchair, (weight approximately 60lbs.), assisting me use the restroom, accompanying/driving my van. Basically being my "arms and legs" throughout the day and/or night allowing me to stay healthy and live the best quality of life I can live.

This is a one-on-one caregiving relationship. I usually have a total of 5 regular caregivers that work with me throughout the week which keeps me covered 24/7. Because of the nature of this job position, I am looking for a person with a great personality, positive attitude, someone who is ready able and willing to perform and assist me with all my activities of daily living. Someone who is reliable/dependable. A person who is outgoing and would enjoy getting out and about and trying new things.

I receive funding through the state and participate in the Consumer Directed Care program. Although I am the employer, payroll and administrative (background check, paperwork, etc.) will go through a company called Public Partnerships.
