Mercy LIFE Montgomery County (Living Independently for Elders, a PACE Program) has a need for a PRN/Contingent Personal Care Assistant (CNA) to service the Pottstown area.

This position will work as needed from 8 to 430 pm and may include weekend shifts as well.

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) performs varied participant care activities and related support services necessary in caring for the personal and comfort needs of participants. The Personal Care Assistant reports to and works under the supervision of a registered nurse to deliver optimal care. In performing all duties, PCA complies with LIFE policies and procedures.

Requirements include:

• High Scholl diploma or GED
• Certified Nurse's Aide (CNA) license preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Minimum of one (1) year experience working with the frail or elderly
• CPR trained or willingness to be trained
• Long Term Care and/or Home Care experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to communicate well in English, orally and in writing
• Ability to interpret and follow oral and written instructions.
• Understanding of importance of dignity and privacy in personal care for older adults.
