General Position Scope:
The Personal Banker will ensure the customer’s needs are achieved by evaluating and recommending the most appropriate financial products and services to fulfill the customer’s financial needs. Incumbent is responsible for being knowledgeable and skilled in the areas of teller, opening deposit accounts and accepting loan applications

Duties and Responsibilities:
Sell and cross-sell Bank products to new and established customers by assessing the customer’s needs and being knowledgeable of the features and benefits of the products.

Evaluate needs of potential customers and offers appropriate financial products and services.

Perform the following duties which include but are not limited to: cashing checks, processing deposit transactions, balancing cash drawer, issuing teller/official checks, processing collection items, processing loan payments, etc., according to BankPlus procedures.

Open various deposit accounts to meet the customer’s needs. Process complex deposit and IRA transactions.

Responsible for discussing and taking CreditPlus and/or other loan applications.

Maintain a thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures and appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions including but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act; Fair Lending Act; Regulation E, etc. Complete required compliance training and adhere to the Bank’s standard of conduct.

Participate in the bank’s High-Performance Rewards Connections program.

Make referrals to the Mortgage Center and Wealth Management.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
High School Diploma

2 or more years of similar or related experience

General computer and typing experience with Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Word, and Outlook

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Extensive reading as needed

Ability to make difficult decisions and handle multiple tasks
