Wilkinson Care Giving, is a home and Community Based service provider located in Hammond, licensed through the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals. We provide personal care services for our clients (elderly, disabled, and behavioral challenged). The Care Giver's role includes providing hands on care and physical and emotional support to each client while maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.

Responsibilities:

• Light housekeeping (including laundry)
• Providing companionship and conversation
• Helping residents maintain independence, promoting dignity and physical safety of each resident
• Providing medication and appointment reminders
• Accompanying clients to appointments
• Meal prepping and clean up
• Running errands
• Participating and assisting residents with activities of daily living (i.e. bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, eating) as instructed
• Engaging residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities

Qualifications:

• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have a valid drivers licenses
• Ability to communicate effectively with Residents, management, and co-workers
• Must demonstrate good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills
• Must pass a state criminal background check and drug screening
• Must have working smart cellular device to clock in/out on LaSRS
