Job Responsibilities:

• Reviews permit applications for accuracy and completeness; identifies missing documentation or problems.
• Processes building permit applications and related documentation.
• Monitors the agency review process and follow up as needed.
• Maintains an organized log of the application status of each project.
• Verifies completion of all required reviews and notifies applicant of approved permit.
• Serves as liaison between building departments and all internal departments.

• Updates contractors’ registrations with building departments when needed.
• Creates purchase orders for permit fees.

• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Manager.

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience of general clerical experience preferably processing permits and occupational licenses with a building department.
• Proven experience in permit and license applications

• Previous experience registering entities with Secretary of State offices.
• Notary Public for State of Florida preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications.
• Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills
• Able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of general permit processing and procedures.
• Knowledge of County offices and functions.

• Knowledge of HVAC industry a plus.
• Service Titan experience a plus.
