Kimberton Whole Foods is hiring a Perishable Foods Department Manager for our Wyomissing store!

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week. 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week.

Availability: Availability to work opening and closing shifts is required. Shifts are within a 7:00am-8:30pm time frame. One weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday) is required each week.

Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.

Pay Range: $19.00-23.00 depending on experience

The Perishables Department Head provides a delightful customer experience while maintaining a welcoming, well merchandized department. The Perishables Department includes all refrigerated, frozen, and baked products. This person supports the store operations and embodies the spirit of servant leadership. The Perishables Department Head interacts with customers, vendors, and Kimberton Whole Foods Team Members in a positive and authentic manner.

Daily Operations

  • Follows the current Kimberton Whole Foods ordering Standard Operating Procedures to maintain fully stocked shelves in all departments.
  • Follows KWF "Fresh Start!" merchandizing SOP to maintain top notch displays in all departments with the focus on fresh meat, bakery, and gourmet cheese.
  • Understands KWF inventory management practices.
  • Maintains accurate and up to date product signage throughout the entire department.
  • Works with Store Manager and Category Manager to closely maintain all elements of department sales performance.

Team and Leadership

  • Participate in the hiring, evaluation, coaching and development of staff members in collaboration with the Store Manager.
  • Support store experience by upholding Kimberton Whole Foods Guidelines for staff appearance, energy, quality and cleanliness.
  • Participates in scheduled management and departmental meetings to ensure core operational functions are followed.
  • Servant Leader - Fosters team development and cohesion through service to each other.
