Job Title:

Perioperative Nurse- Full-time

We are hiring a talented, energetic, eager-to-learn, and self-starting experienced RN.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Main duties include circulating, scrubbing plastic surgery cases, and recovery in our office surgical suite, including assisting the surgical team with preparations and cleanup of the operating room.
  • Assist surgeon with procedures, including minor treatment room procedures
  • Provide pre-and post-op instructions to patients
  • Review lab/diagnostic procedures results prior to surgery
  • Accurately enter all necessary documentation into the electronic medical record
  • Phone triage patients’ medical questions (i.e. prescription refills)
  • Assist with ordering surgery supplies (implants)
  • Assist with the accreditation process for the office operating room

Required Qualifications:

Education:

BSN is preferred but not required. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.

Experience:

2-3 years of operating room experience (scrub, circulate) is required, PACU experience is preferred.

Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification:

Must have current RN licensure in the state of Michigan. BLS required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Must have sound clinical patient care experience and operating room skills (circulating and recovery required, scrub experience preferred) and have excellent interpersonal skills and organizational capability
  • Strong technical/clinical skills
  • Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills - EMR ready

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement: All CPRS employed staff are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. All New Hires will be required to have the last dose of the two-dose vaccine or a single dose vaccine 14 days prior to beginning work and must provide evidence of vaccination.
