ABOUT CASCADE:
Cascade Community Healthcare (CCH) has been providing treatment services to Lewis County and surrounding areas for more than 50 years. Our mission is to provide our clients with compassionate and encouraging counseling leading to a renewed sense of hope and the ability to make positive changes and live more satisfying lives. Cascade currently has six treatment locations in Lewis County.

We are looking for a Peer Support Counselor to join our team! You will provide Support and Advocacy Services for participants who are served in the Clubhouse program. Commit to helping participants reach their recovery goals through knowledge of lived experience, and the promotion of resiliency and hope.

Clinical Aide: $15.25 Hourly
Peer Support Counselor: $18.00 Hourly

Starting November 1, 2022 Cascade Community Healthcare will not require the COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of employment.

SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
Part Time: 20 Hourly Weekly.

This position may require that the employee work a non-standard work week potentially including weekends. This position is non-exempt per the Fair Labor Standards Act.

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, A.A. degree preferred.
  • Must have completed or be willing to complete the Certified Peer Counselor training within 6 months of employment.
  • Washington State Counselor credential required.
  • Washington State certification as Peer counselor required
  • Training in advocacy/support preferred.
  • Must be able to pass WA State Patrol background check, may include a national background check.
  • Two years experience working in a social service setting preferred.
  • Must be able to work as part of a coordinated team.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Must maintain current home telephone and address on file with the personnel office.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Willing to share their own lived experiences to provide hope and Peer support to individuals and groups experiencing similar challenges.
  • Able to share resources and information within multiple systems in an individualized manner so that participants feel supported.
  • Must be able to assist participants in developing self- advocacy and natural supports.
  • Must be willing to assist participants in developing, maintaining, or attaining community living skills.
  • Able to engage and collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Able to maintain a non-judgmental attitude towards participants.
  • Certified as a Peer Counselor.
  • Must maintain compliance with HIPAA and fulfill duty as a mandated reporter.
  • Must receive regular supervision from a Mental Health Professional.
  • Other duties as assigned.
