Responsibilities:

Serve as a role model for clients

Educate clients on self-help techniques

Educate clients on self-help group processes

Communicate effective coping strategies based on personal experience

Teach symptom management skills

Assist in clarifying rehabilitation/recovery goals

Maintain confidentiality

Promote a culture of inclusion and diversity.

Requirements:

High School or GED required. Must have “lived” experience, Peer Certification preferred but not required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer knowledge. Must be able to maintain caseload and maintain reports. Work independently and with team members.
