Astrobotic’s headquarters is in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with a second location in Mojave, California.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Capture schematics for new and existing PC board designs.
  • Design Printed Circuit Board layouts and revise existing PCB designs.
  • Work with electronic and mechanical hardware design engineers to define and implement PCB routing and manufacturability constraints.
  • Generate and release the engineering build documentation (assembly drawings and manufacturing packages) required to fabricate the PCA designs
  • Create and verify schematic symbols, PCB footprints and maintain CAD library
  • Collaborate with internal teams and PCB vendors to continually improve design rules, constraints, design for test and manufacture guidelines
  • Drive the establishment of department standards and the use of industry best practices.
  • Continually improve expertise with PCB design tools, maintain and evaluate new tools, and train team members to use electronic design software more effectively

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Professional level experience with Altium designer and Altium library management
  • 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree or higher or demonstrated experience and proficiency in PCB Design
  • Working knowledge of IPC standards for library parts, printed circuit design and manufacturing
  • Ability to create and interpret schematics, board layout, assembly drawings, block diagrams, and component data sheets
  • Demonstrated understanding of design for manufacturability, assembly, and test
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with scripting and automation
  • SolidWorks or equivalent mechanical CAD Experience
  • Experience integrating electronic CAD systems with PLM and mechanical CAD
  • Experience designing boards that contain precision analog electronics, high density interconnects, controlled impedances (single-ended and differential), RF/microwave circuits

Salary Range: $60,000- $90,000

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and the candidates professional experience. Base salary is just one component of Astrobotic’s competitive total rewards strategy.

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
