Urgently seeking to fill the position of Payroll Clerk/HR Assistant

The work environment includes:

PURPOSE:

To provide support to the Chief Human Resources Officer on all personnel matters; including the processing of bi-weekly payroll.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepare materials for new hires and onboard new employees.
  • Complete all aspects of internal and external background checks.
  • Assist with benefits administration and enrollment.
  • Maintain employee personnel files and ensure required paperwork is completed.
  • Tracking of annual employee performance evaluations.
  • Tracking of annual employee training requirements using Advisor, and sending reports to program coordinators and managers
  • Maintain HR databases by recording and tracking records including but not limited to, employee training, licensure, equipment usage, and contact information.
  • Oversee processing and maintenance of payroll functions within the department.
  • Complete all processes of payroll administration including:
  • Timesheet distribution
  • Payroll maintenance
  • Data Entry
  • Reconciliation and submission
  • Provide Human Resources support to company staff as needed.
  • Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or,
  • Minimum of two years Human Resources
  • Strong working knowledge of current software applications
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience processing payroll
  • Experience with ADP or Paycor preferred

  • Srong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to change directions as required by the organization
  • Self-motivated

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • May be required to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, and reaching.

PAY & SCHEDULE:

  • Monday - Thursday, 9am - 5pm (30 min lunch)
  • Starting pay $20 per hour
