Robert Half has partnered with an expanding company who is searching for a Payroll Clerk to perform duties in order to support the day-to-day functions of the Payroll department in the San Francisco, California area. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter to work with an industry leader on a career path with growth in this challenging position. The ideal candidate would be able to effectively communicate with both the internal team and outside customers. The Payroll Clerk will be required to perform data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. The Payroll Clerk position is looking to be filled on a short-term contract / temporary to hire employment contract.Major responsibilities
- Gather data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
- Devise a system of administering and distributing reports
- Manage communications with employees on timesheet approvals
- Deliver instruction/training to employees regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.
- Carry out clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc
- Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
- Construct and run custom reports
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- ADP Workforce Now experience
- Strong familiarity with Process Payroll
- bi-Monthly Payroll experience
- Salesforce.com experience required
- Proven ability to quickly learn new systems
- High attention to detail
- Outstanding data entry skills
- Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
- 2+ years of previous payroll experience
- Payroll software experience preferred
