Position

Mid-Continental Restoration Co., Inc. is accepting resumes for an experienced Payroll Clerk to work from our corporate office in Ft. Scott, KS. We are seeking a candidate that has the skill set and leadership skills to transition into the payroll supervisor position as part of our succession plan. This position reports directly to the payroll supervisor.

Applicant Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

Sage Timberline software experience a plus

Construction accounting experience a plus

Strong verbal and written communication skills

10 key proficient

Job Duties / Functions

Import timesheets from job crews to payroll software with additional manual payroll entry. Weekly payroll will involve time records in addition to items such as meals, lodging, travel, truck pay and additional expenses.

Enter employee information such as new hire information, deductions, pay rate changes, terminations, exemptions, and set up tax records based on various states.

Back-up additional payroll staff, run direct deposits and checks, set up and calculate child supports and garnishments.

Report certified payrolls.

Assist with calls and employee questions regarding pay information.

Check all records for accuracy & correct errors based on company policy.

Accurate filing of time records and employee information.

Other duties as required
