Sentara Healthcare is currently hiring a Patient Transporter to work at Sentara Leigh Hospital located in Norfolk, Va.
Hours/Shift:
Part-time, Sat and Sun Only. Hours will fall between 8am and 6pm
Department/Position Overview:
We are looking for a candidate that has excellent customer skills and a good work history. This position will focus on transporting our in-patients to different modalities using wheelchairs, stretchers and hospital beds. You will also be responsible for safely transporting discharged patients to their rides.
Safely escorts and transports patients within all areas of the hospital using safe body mechanics. Strictly adheres to all safety rules and initiatives of Sentara. Communicates clearly with all staff, visitors, and patients. Ensures adequate communication of information between central transport and other departments.
Job Requirements:
- Required: High School Grad or Equivalent
- Required: Basic Life Support
- Required: Communication, Technology/Computer experience
- Preferred: Patient Care experience
