Position Summary :
The Patient Service Coordinator will offer friendly, courteous, and confidential assistance to every patient to ensure that the patient has a positive experience. Maintain accurate information on each patient to facilitate the patient encounter. Use automated systems to expedite patient scheduling, pre-registration, check-in, and check-out. Work with others in a team environment. The position will require occasional evening hours.

Education:
Diploma/Certificate/GED required

Work Experience:
1 year of related experience required or two (2) years customer service experience.

Knowledge/Skills:
1. Displays responsible behaviors and communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members in order to foster optimal quality of outpatient care.
2. Demonstrates competency in all skills related to the performance of patient care.
3. Demonstrates problem-solving skills as they relate to patient care activities.
4. Must be able to collect, verify and organize data with high degree of accuracy.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
6. Minimum keyboarding requirement of 30 wpm strongly preferred.
