• The Patient Flow will update/correct insurance information; notifies appropriate departments to ensure accurate financial data is available.
• The Patient Flow will actively communicate with multidisciplinary healthcare team (Primary Nurse, nurse manager, C3, etc.)
• The Patient Flow will communicate potential admissions to facilitate system wide planning by entering bed request in Care Logistics software.

Education/Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience:

• 2 years of experience working with regulatory programs, administrative/secretarial in a professional setting, or patient scheduling/registration experience required
• Associates degree or higher will waive the experience requirement

Licensure/Certificates:

• None

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with patients, physicians, volunteers, insurance companies, payors, and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team
• Proficiency with required computer systems for completion of duties and including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge of medical terminology and excellent spelling and grammar skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple activities while working in a fast paced environment
• Ability to function as a self- starter and an active team member.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires long periods of concentration and ability to multi-task.
• Requires ability both to be mobile and to sit for long periods
