Patient Coordinator: Full-Time Position

Sausalito, California

DESCRIPTION:

BlueWave Medicine (www.bluewavemedicine.com) seeks an experienced Patient Coordinator who desires full-time employment in a Concierge and Integrative medicine medical practice. The team is focused on providing high quality, proactive and personalized care to their patients.

Our office is located in the award winning Cavallo Point Lodge in Sausalito on 80 acres of national park under the Golden Gate Bridge. The location is spectacular!

We are looking for a bright, professional, enthusiastic, caring, courteous, and detail-oriented person with excellent customer service and communication skills. The candidate should have sufficient experience to feel confident and comfortable communicating with and navigating the varied healthcare systems (hospitals, labs, imaging centers, specialist offices) required to accomplish that tasks at hand each day. The candidate will collaborate with patients, and an interdisciplinary team to organize, coordinate and execute on tasks requested by the clinical team in a high-engagement, high-technology clinical environment.

The job will require occasional travel to patient’s homes and offices. Generous salary and benefit package.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma is required. An Associate’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Experience working in primary care, concierge medicine, and/or integrative medicine settings is preferred.
• Detail oriented, good follow-through, commitment to ongoing care of patients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude, ability to create a positive work environment with team members, and tendency to adapt positively to change.
• Desire to function independently and thrive in a self-directed work environment with the opportunity for mentorship by the clinician and management team.
• Experience using electronic medical records and word processing applications.
• Experience using point of service systems (MindBody software), and electronic communication software (e.g. Slack, video conference call technologies, etc.) is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in HIPAA and other healthcare related privacy laws preferred.
• Current and valid California Driver’s license with acceptable DMV record and reliable car.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Answer phones
• Schedule patients via secure text messaging, telephone and email
• Send documents and referrals to outside facilities and providers and track receipt and related follow-up
• Receive and electronically file documents in EMR.
• Manage medical records, receive and file electronic documents, complete forms and send relevant records to referring providers.
• Order lab test kits and radiographic tests and follow-up on obtaining results.
• Significant time is spent updating electronic health records using MD-HQ software to receive, review, and file documents electronically, as well as review patient charts to ensure health care maintenance activities are up to date
• Organize electronic charts prior to patient visits.
• Join team meetings with clinicians, medical assistants, and the office manager to ensure seamless communication between office and patients so that timely follow-up is maintained.
• Support clinicians, medical assistants, and the office manager in order to achieve superior patient outcomes including optimal health and patient satisfaction.
• Inventory management of medical supplies, medications and dietary supplements.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
